v1.1.0: Refactor and Redesign
Tetra Ho!
It’s been roughly a month since I started the tetraho project for #mizjam1, my first game jam. It’s something I never thought I would do, because I used to be so engrossed in trying to make a living that I forgot what living actually meant. A project like this requires too much time and effort to be good, so for the old me, this project wouldn’t have been worth my time and I would’ve been focusing on my career instead. Therefore, tetraho is proof to myself that I can create something purely for fun.
For this update, I have focused solely on patching bugs and improving code quality to serve as the foundation for future development. It was more focused on setting up automated tests and continuous integration on GitHub rather than developing game features, so the game still has the same levels and no new mechanics, but it should be a lot smoother, balanced and optimized to play.

#mizjam1 Devlog Video
With this, the first step of the roadmap as outlined in the devlog is complete. Next step is to polish the base game, further developing the levels, adding more features and beautifying the game in general with animation and effects for a v2.0.0 release which would take some time, but I hope it will turn it into a game that people would enjoy playing.
Next Step: Polish Base Game
